Google Wallet Prime Launched on Sprint Network


Google finally launched a payment solution on the phone with Google Wallet service that can be used starting on Monday (9/19/2011). With Google Wallet, cell phone a person can become a kind of wallet and payment can be done with the phone close to the means to pay at checkout through technology near field communication (NFC) which has been applied in a number of smartphone models.

"We've tested it extensively and today we released the first version of the application in Sprint," wrote Osama Bedier, Google's vice president of payments at the company's official blog on Monday. Nexus S 4G smartphone users who subscribe to Sprint can try the service via OTA (over the air) update.

For a while, this new service supports payment by credit card Citi Mastercard and Google Prepaid Card. Especially for Google users Prepaid Card will get a bonus 10 dollars if you activate it on Google Wallet until the end of the year. However, in the future will also be supported by Visa, Discover, and American Express.

"Our goal is to make you enter all credit card payments to Google Wallet, so you can say goodbye to include your traditional wallet," said Bedier.

To be able to take advantage of this service does require a smartphone that support NFC technology. NFC Chip Google first introduced the Nexus S Android smartphone using the Android software 2.3 or Gingerbread.
