Windows Tablet Will not Support Flash


Users tablet device that uses Windows 8 will not be used to run Flash content for multimedia, video, and games. Microsoft has decided not to use Flash in a web browser that works with Windows 8 Metro Interface.

However, Microsoft only stopped support for Flash on the Metro on the tablet interface. Users of Windows 8 which uses the Desktop Interface and the browser version of Internet Explorer on the desktop can still be added as plug-in Flash in a browser.

The lifting of Flash in a web browser tablets written by the Microsoft representative in their official blog, which aims to conserve battery life tablets. Dean Hachamovitch, head of the development of Internet Explorer at Microsoft, who wrote about it said, IE 10 at Metro no longer interface using plug-ins such as Flash.

"Removing the plug-in will mean longer battery life on the tablet, protecting privacy, and enhance security," he said in the text. Instead, Microsoft is concentrating on the latest version of HTML 5 web technologies.

Microsoft's decision was allegedly following in the footsteps of Apple and Google. Previously Apple had already said he would not use Adobe Flash for the iPad and MacBook. Steve Jobs, Apple's CEO at the time, had even issued a statement in April 2010 that Flash is the number one reason that makes the Mac crashes.

Responding to Microsoft's statement, Danny Winokur represent Adobe Flash in their official blog also wrote that expect desktops Flash Window (including Windows 8) will remain popular for many years so it will continue to support the use of Flash. "We hope, Flash-based applications will be present in the Metro Interface via Adobe AIR, as it has happened to Android, IOS, and BlackBerry OS today," he concluded.
